Louis Bourgeois, Exhibition
This comprehensive exhibition is the first major survey of American artist Louise Bourgeois’s (b. 1911, Paris, France) work in more than a decade. Bourgeois’s long and distinguished career reveals a vast oeuvre in dialogue with most of the major international avant-garde artistic movements of the 20th century—from surrealism to conceptual art—but always remaining distinctively separate, as an inventive frontrunner.

Wild Ocean 3D, Screening
An explosive, symphonic giant screen film about man and nature. Each year a massive feeding frenzy takes place in the oceans of South Africa as billions of fish migrate up the KwaZulu-Natal Wild Coast. Breaching whales, frenzied sharks, herding dolphins, and diving gannets compete for survival.

Holiday Light Festival, Holiday Seasonal Event
An annual Griffith Park tradition, a long stretch of Carousel Drive is illuminated with a number of holiday themed displays. The lights are visible by vehicle or foot, and a shuttle from the LA Zoo parking lot shuttles guests along the route most nights to help save on gas. As a special green initiative, the first two weeks are vehicle-free; the lights are only viewable on foot from Nov 25 to Dec 7.

Visitors can learn more with cooking demonstrations, talks from area architects, and the award-winning gingerbread houses on display.

Spark of Love Toy Drive, Volunteer Activity
The Los Angeles Fire Department holiday toy program for needy children begins both collecting and accepting requests for toys on November 28. New toys left at any LA area fire station starting the day after Thanksgiving are distributed to children in need. Why not call in advance to see if it's a good time to take a tour of the station, letting kids get two great lessons in one outing? Fire workers not on call are always happy to let little ones sit on the truck and check out the gear.
